The Barn

Oak Tree Barn offers self contained chalet style style accomodation, featuring open plan living and a spiral staircase leading up to a romantic mezzanine bedroom.

Built originally in 1989 to stable the larger horses at Kalara Park Stud, Oak Tree Barn was converted to a small dwelling for the owner's family in 1998.

The barn still has hoof marks on the jarrah timber dado that lines the walls, evidence of its former equine occupants!

The enormous barn doors, split bathroom stable door and hayloft, now a balcony for the bedroom, all bear witness to the building's original use.

The jarrah and pine features add warmth and character to the open plan living area while the high vaulted ceiling creates a wonderful sense of dramatic space.

The private balcony, with vineyard and valley views, is a great place to sit and enjoy a glass of local wine.

The luxurious king size bed can convert to two singles, if required.

We also offer a cosy day bed in the living area for a third adult or older child.

The Barn kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. The perfect place to take advantage of the local Blackwood Valley produce.

The bathroom features high quality amenities, including a luxury spa, for a little indulgence!
