Oak Tree Barn in Bridgetown

Welcome to Bridgetown in the Heart of the South West of Western Australia

Tranquility, hospitality and stunning views make Bridgetown the ideal place to catch your breath and establish a base from which to explore the South West's amazing attractions.

The town is nestled in the Blackwood Valley and has retained much of its rustic charm and historic buildings.

Bridgetown is only 3 hours drive from Perth and just over an hour from Margaret River and the coast.

With Greenbushes and Balingup less than 15 minutes away and Manjimup, Boyup Brook and Nannup all an easy 30 minute drive away, there is much to see close by.

Pemberton, deep in the heart of the Karri country, is only an hours drive and a further half an hour will take you through Northcliffe and then to Windy Harbour and the South Coast.

A great day trip through some amazing South West scenery!

Bridgetown offers rolling hills, scenic drives, Jarrah and Karri forests, starry nights and the longest flowing river in Western Australia.

There are several wineries in the Blackwood Valley region and a great choice of restaurants and cafes, including the famous Cidery, renowned for its award winning cider and beer.

Bush & River Walks

Blackwood River Ford

Proceed out the front gate and turn left down Doust Street, past the Sunnyhurst Winery. The road becomes a steep track that leads directly to the Blackwood River. Heading left takes you to the ford across the river, which is safe to cross in the summer.

Follow the road past the ford and around the bend to Suttons Road where there is a picturesque 1/2 km walk ending where the river widens to form a beautiful pool.

River Walk

Starts at the bridge across the Blackwood River and runs along the north bank for about 2 kms.

Bibbulum Track

The famous track runs to the west of Bridgetown and various sections can be walked through spectacular Jarrah and Karri forests.

Greenbushes Heritage Trails

There are several walks around the Greenbushes area through forests and the old historic tin mining sites.

Jarrah Park

20 kms west of Bridgetown on the Brockman Highway is the Bridgetown Jarrah Park. There are two trails commemorating the early timber history of the area. The Tree Fallers trail is 2.6 kms long and takes about an hour. The Shield Tree Trail is 700 metres and takes about 20 minutes. There is a picnic area at the entrance to the park. The walk takes you through beautiful Jarrah and Karri forest.

Pick up a Walk Trail booklet at the Visitor Centre for detailed maps and information.
